"Verónica was so helpful with her guidance, loving encouragement & knowledge to facilitate my connection to the the sacred feminine. She is Earth mother and sky sister. She is a vessel holding the living water& above all she exudes freedom, good cheer & blessings. I especially liked the way she introduced me to embracing the female warrior within myself. To you, Verónica .... MUCHOS GRACIAS!"

Barry moved to Tepoztlán, Mexico from Vermont in 2005. He encountered the teachings of Chogam
Trungpa, Rinpoche, in 1975 and has been a student of Buddhism ever since.
He sees Buddhism as a model for understanding and engaging in the human condition more than as a religion.
Among the fundamental Buddhist teachings that Barry applies in his life are: "be authentic" and "take a chance".

His Buddhist interests have evolved to what is called Radical Dzogchen, as taught by Keith Dowman KeithDowman.net. Essentially this is about "direct experience" ... "taking refuge in original mind". He combines these principles with the shamanic traditions, which are so very much accessible and alive in Mexico.
Barry first became introduced to Ibogaine in the 60's, when many people were experimenting with substance-induced experiences. But it wasn't until he was living in Mexico that opportunities for ceremonial plant-medicine experiences became not only available, but a part of the culture and their way of opening doors to other perspectives.
In Mexico, Barry has met curanderos and brujas and was introduced to the remarkable, ever-so-soft energy of the shaman. He realized that the shaman and the medicine plants, too, are asking us to "shut up and experience directly". So it is that the shamanic view and Dzogchen seem to him, inseparable, and that Ibogaine is integral to this understanding.
Ibogaine affected him deeply ... it was profoundly transformative. He feels that it is a great gift to be able to share this experience with others.
Verónica is a native of Mexico. She has 20 years experience as a teacher. She studied at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, and was owner and director of a private primary school in Veracruz, Mexico. She also has a degree in Human Nourishment from Universidad Iberoamaericana, one of the most prestigious universities in Mexico.
She has studied both shamanic healing arts, as well as Buddhism in the Dzogchen Tradition (of direct awareness). Her spiritual and plant medicine experience, rooted in New World traditions, includes the Peruvian Amazon, as well as several years of study in the far east of Nepal, India and Thailand.
When Veronica was introduced to Ibogaine she began to apply her whole experience, knowledge and understanding to it with edifying results. She brings in the loving and nurturing energy of the divine feminine, as well.
